- Easton Angels are Great!!!
The Easton Angels of Easton Area High School provided the Miracle League of Northampton County with a check for $3400 at its June 10, 2017 Miracle League game. Since the Angels was formed in 2012 they have been a very important organization to the MLNC in many ways. Many of the members have been very active at our games and special events by providing buddies, video board operators, announcers and when we need help in the concession stand they step forward if they are at the field. Each of the past several years they have had fund raisers and our league has been one the benefactors of their generosity. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Players we thank the Easton Angels.
- 2017 Super Volunteers
In 2016, the Board of Directors of the Miracle League of Northampton County initatied a program where they honor volunteers (normally seniors in high school) who have gone above and beyond to help their league and players. In 2017, the Board chose two members of the Easton Angels – Abbey Heimbach and Joe Salas as this years Super Volunteers. At a Miracle League game on June 10th they were honored and presented with a check for $500 and a plaque by Vice President Ric Agretto. We all thank Abbey and Joe for what they have done over the past several years.
- Calpine Corporation Donation
For the past several years Calpine Corporation has been a very supportive friend of the Miracle League of Northampton County. At the Board of Directors meeting of May 22, 2017 Calpine’s Tom Seifert presented a check to President Bob Lammi. Lammi thanked Mr. Seifert on behalf of the Board and the our players.
- Abbey and Joe IronPigs Community Star Award Recipients
“Joe and Abbey are Seniors at Easton Area High School and outstanding representatives of the youth of our community. Their volunteer work with the Miracle League of Northampton County is a shining example of the best of our students in the Lehigh Valley have to offer.
When you see a Miracle League game for the first time you will be amazed by what you see. Special needs children of all ages and abilities playing the game of baseball. Running, walking and wheeling around the field, hitting a baseball for the first time. The smiles on the players faces tell you that you are truly witnessing something special. At the heart of this experience are our volunteers, and at the heart of our volunteers are Joe Salas and Abbey Heimbach.
Joe and Abbeys signature are all over what we do. They can be witnessed being buddies with our kids needing the most attention, putting them at ease with their confidence and calm demeanor. They can be seen be running the scoreboard, announcing a game, coaching a team or flipping hamburgers. They organize other groups of students to volunteer and put in hours and hours of volunteer time doing whatever they can to make The Miracle League Experience the best it can be for our very special players and their families. That, ladies and gentlemen, is a true Community Star.
I am very proud to recognize Abbey Heimbach and Joe Salas as a Community Star Award Recipient.”
The MLNC family congratulates and is very proud of Abbey and Joe as recipients of this award.

- Duke Realty volunteer to paint at the field
Recently the wonderful folks from Duke Realty volunteered to paint the bathrooms and part of the kitchen at our field. This team of fourteen Duke employees have done many projects in municipalities where their buildings are located. In Palmer Township Duke is developing the northern section of the township with three warehouses. The Board of Directors and players thank these Duke employees for what they have done for us.
- MLNC Halloween 2016
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in October the Miracle League of Northampton County held it’s fourth annual Trick or Treat event at its field. Approximately 45 community minded families, organizations and businesses set up trick or treat stations around the field for the enjoyment of several hundred Miracle League player and their families. The decorated stations with those in costumes provided a fun atmosphere for those attending the event. To see many pictures of the event go to the Miracle League of Northampton County’s Facebook page.
A big thank you to Shelly Anderson and her team from the Yankee Fan Club of the Lehigh Valley for putting this event on for our players and families.

- Our MVP Volunteers
The Miracle League of Northampton County is blessed to have hundreds of volunteers who come to the field every year to be the players buddies, coaches, work in the concession stand and are announcers/video board operators. We thank them all for what they do.
To recognize our volunteers, the Board of Directors created the MVP Volunteer(s) award this year. This year the 2016 MVP Volunteer awards go to Kelly Schultheis and Morena Koorie. Kelly is a senior at Easton Area High School and a member of the Easton Angels and Morena is a senior at Moravian Academy. Both of them have spent hundreds of hours at the field over the years and will jump in any place where we need help but their main focus is being a buddy to the players.
Kelly and Morena were honored at the IronPigs Miracle League Day and provide with their awards of appreciation.
