Turk Starnini of the Moondogs Senior Baseball Team presents a check to MLNC President Jennifer Dietrick. At the 2018 Palmer Community Days festival, the Moondogs had a food tent worked by many of their players. The donation was the results of the hard work on some really hot days. We thank Turk and his players for their continued support of MLNC.
At our June 16th games, we were extremely pleased to welcome three minor league umpires, Shane Livensparger, Brennan Miller and Blake Carnagan, along with former Major League Umpire and current MLB Umpire Supervisor Ed Rapuano. The players were very pleased as the umpires interacted with them during their games. Click here to view pictures of the day. We thank these gentlemen for visiting our baseball facility.
Opening Day of the 2018 Spring Season was a great day with all five games being played on that day. Below is a short video of one of the games.
On a warm April 14th evening the two Miracle Leagues in the Lehigh Valley came together to enjoy a baseball game at the IronPigs. Before the IronPigs took the field a group of players from each Miracle League played a game with IronPigs and Rochester players acting as Buddies on the field. As in the past years, everyone had a great time. We thank the IronPigs for the opportunity show off our player’s skills. Below are a few pictures of the event. For more pictures go to the Miracle League of Northampton County Facebook page.
At the Board of Directors meeting held on April 9th Samatha Osgar and Marisa Manno of the Easton Area High School, Easton Angels presented President Jennifer Dietrick with a check from the proceeds of one of their fundraisers. We are grateful and thankful for what the Easton Angels have done and continue to do for MLNC.
A very large THANK YOU goes out to the Easton Knights of Columbus (No. 345) for sponsoring the 2018 Easter Egg Hunt for our players which took place on March 17th. It was a windy and cold day at the field but everyone had a great time. Our heartful thanks to the members of the Knights of Columbus who came to the field and handled all the details of the event.
