- Eric McGovern’s Passing
Recently, we lost one of our most precious players. Eric McGovern was one of our original players from day one as has the entire McGovern family and children. Eric was so much fun as he challenged Mr. Dan to fire fast balls to him every time he came to the plate and yes, he never failed to hit them. Eric was loved by all of us who had the privilege to know him. He was a big Yankee fan and was a member of the Lehigh Valley Yankee Fan Club led by our board member and President of the club, Chuck Frantz, and often went on trips to Yankee Stadium. Of course, he played on the Yankees at the Miracle League coached by Chuck Frantz. We will miss him dearly. Condolences to the McGovern Family from the entire Miracle League of Northampton County family.

- We Thank Our Volunteers
Volunteers mean the world to the Miracle League of Northampton County. We could provide the excellent environment to play baseball for our players without them whether they are in the field as buddies, working in the concession stand, announcing, working the video board or sitting at the fan wear table they are all so important.
Every once in a while we get the opportunity to get a group picture of the volunteers and the players. This picture was taken on Thursday night, September 21, 2017, when the golf team from Lafayette College and the Phantom Girls Soccer team were the buddies. We thank them for providing a wonderful experience for our players.
- Moondog Baseball Team Donation
From the beginning of the Miracle League of Northampton County, the Moondog Baseball Team has been a very generous support of our League. At our game on September 23, 2017, Turk Starniri and his Moondog colleagues made a check presentation to MLNC Vice President Ric Agretto. In remarks made during the presentation, Turk indicated “The Moondogs manager and players are proud to present a charitable donation check for $2,000 to the Miracle League for use in ongoing operations of the Easton Rotary Field complex. Please use this contribution wisely to enhance the social, emotional and sporting experience of children with intellectual disabilities. The Moondog players and the Palmer Days Seafood Stand sponsors wish to thank you for the opportunity to support and participate in the success of your excellent organization.”

- Easton Angels are Great!!!
The Easton Angels of Easton Area High School provided the Miracle League of Northampton County with a check for $3400 at its June 10, 2017 Miracle League game. Since the Angels was formed in 2012 they have been a very important organization to the MLNC in many ways. Many of the members have been very active at our games and special events by providing buddies, video board operators, announcers and when we need help in the concession stand they step forward if they are at the field. Each of the past several years they have had fund raisers and our league has been one the benefactors of their generosity. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Players we thank the Easton Angels.
- 2017 Super Volunteers
In 2016, the Board of Directors of the Miracle League of Northampton County initatied a program where they honor volunteers (normally seniors in high school) who have gone above and beyond to help their league and players. In 2017, the Board chose two members of the Easton Angels – Abbey Heimbach and Joe Salas as this years Super Volunteers. At a Miracle League game on June 10th they were honored and presented with a check for $500 and a plaque by Vice President Ric Agretto. We all thank Abbey and Joe for what they have done over the past several years.
